A Supreme Shaved Ice Experience

101 Flavors at Snowie’s

Going into Snowie’s for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of flavors available. I wanted to try all of them! Owner Vanessa Rhoden guided me through the list of 101 flavors, so that I could find my perfect flavor fit. Best-sellers like the Blue Raspberry, the Maui-Wowee-a coconut, banana and cherry blend, or creamy dreams like the Birthday Cake or Cheesecake, they all looked amazing. Finally, I decided on the Strawberry Cheesecake shaved ice. I was served a colossal shaved ice that was decked out with all the fixings. Topped off with a mountain of whipped cream, then garnished with actual chunks of strawberry cheesecake, each icy cold sip was heaven. An epic frozen delight that was loaded with hits of sweet strawberry cheesecake flavor that was lightly sweet, but not at all overpowering. The shaved ice was the perfect reprieve from an otherwise miserably hot summer day.

Snowie of Clarksville has a small menu available as well, with offerings like nachos, soft pretzels, or the old school cool Frito Pie. I wanted something to nibble on with my scrumptious shaved ice, and Snowie’s did not disappoint. I ordered the Frito Pie, which is Fritos that are loaded up with a zesty chili, then topped with a heaping mound of melted cheddar cheese. It was delicious, and it’s one of those things that as soon as you take a bite, you’re taken back, the sort of dish that makes you think of a thousand nostalgic things.
