The Ridicu Biscuit

Ridicu Biscuit from Wild Flour Bake Shop

Let’s start with the best-selling brunch option from Wild Flour Bake Shop, the Ridicu Biscuit. As the name implies, this homemade buttermilk biscuit is utterly ridiculous in its sheer size. Not only that, but there are epic levels of flavor going on here, all loaded up onto one glorious biscuit. Towering on the plate and skewered through with a butter knife just to hold it all together, this breakfast delight is piled high with all kinds of goodness. A whopping buttermilk biscuit, pulled fresh from the oven, is generously spread with a robust pimento cheese, then topped with scrambled egg, or fried if you prefer, a thick sausage patty, smoked ham, and crispy bacon. You can add the house gravy for an extra buck and let me tell you, it’s well worth it.  This breakfast pick is a meal and a half, and worth every penny.

The Avocado Toast

The Avocado Toast

Up next on the list of brunch/lunch picks from the Wild Flour Bake Shop, we have the Avocado Toast. A vegan friendly brunch selection that not only tastes fantastic, but stuns in its presentation. The base for this dish is the Wild Flour Sourdough bread, baked in-house and toasted to buttery perfection. The toast is then amply layered with a homemade roasted tomato spread, and topped with thick slices of fresh avocado, dashed with just a hit of seasoning, and decked out with two huge fried eggs on top. For a final flourish the toast is topped with sliced radishes, cut razor thin, and finished off with sprouts. The flavors and textures here are incredible, with the avocado and fried egg adding a nice heartiness to the toast. The radishes give a hit of crunch to each bite, while the robust tomato spread brings a depth of flavor to the overall dish. Blending all of these complementing flavors and textures together made for an excellent brunch time experience.

The Tampa Cuban

The Tampa Cuban sandwich

The Tampa Cuban is a top seller at Wild Flour Bake Shop, and there’s good reason for that. A massive sandwich served on traditional Cuban bread, it’s loaded up with Mojo pork, salami, and ham, then topped with Swiss cheese and spread with a house mustard/mayo combo sauce.  Multiple levels of flavor shine with this lunch time favorite, as the salty goodness of the meats is evened out with the smoothness of the Swiss cheese. The light sweetness of the mustard/mayo spread hits just right with this sandwich, while the dill pickles offer a nice hit of vinegary crunch at the end, the final flourish in a litany of flavors.
